Prioritize Responsibilities
Text
Eph 5:15-17
Aims
to study the concept of prioritising in household responsibility in biblical context,
to discuss the importance and
the position of prayer in the list of priority in a Christian home.
Introduction
Prioritising of household responsibilities simply means to focus on the most important work to be done at a particular time. As married couples, it is appropriate to discuss things like: how many times should laundry be done in a week; can the floor be washed before going to work? Should I go to the market before going to pick the children from their school after closing time? Which one comes first, children school fees or the Estate association contributions? Should I go to the saloon before preparing our dinner or dinner before going to the saloon? All these are examples of the principle of prioritising in household responsibilities. Our Bible passage today teaches us to always walk with wisdom and never allow foolishness to take over our responsibilities.
